Search from a textbox in filterTemplate

Hi - I'm having a issue with the customisation of the DataGrid. 
1. In the att. example the searchbar does not work if I add a textbox inside a FilterTemplate. How to do I get text in a searchfield otherwise, or how to fix this issue? 

2. The rendereing of the headertext is a bit random. How do I set this properly?

Query1: “How to do I get text in a searchfield otherwise, or how to fix this issue? ” 
 
From your query we suspect that you want to perform Search operation in Grid. We suggest you to define the Search value in Toolbar property of Grid to render Search text in Grid Toolbar and perform search operation. Refer our online sample and UG documentation for your reference 
 
 
Or if you want to perform filter operation in Grid column we suggest you to enable AllowFiltering property of SfGrid and we can filter the particular column using FilterByColumn method. Refer our UG documentation for your reference.

Query2: “The rendereing of the headertext is a bit random. How do I set this properly” 
 
Since it is known issue, we have fixed the issue and it was included in our 2020 Volume 1 Service Pack 1 release. So we request you to upgrade to our 18.1.0.52 version to resolve the reported issue. For your convenience we have upgraded the provided sample to our latest version and reported issue is resolved.
