Borders missing on GridCells with a custom UserCellType

I'm having an issue with borders not displaying properly, or sometimes not at all on SfDataGrid GridCells where I am using a custom defined UserCellType

As you can see in the image, in the data grid on the left, the right border on the last cell is missing, and on the table on the right cell borders are missing in the first two coloumns.

Anybody else experience this?

Hi Richard Popovich,

Thank you for contacting Syncfusion support.

We have checked the reported issue “Left right border of SfDataGrid is not visible and custom cell border is not visible” in Xamarin Android. The right border of our sample datagrid is not visible. And used custom UserCellType for the first two columns and the last column of datagrid. Please share the following information to validate and reproduce the issue from our side.

  • Tested device details.
  • UserCellType and DataGrid setting code snippet.

Tested sample

If possible, please modify the attached sample to reproduce the issue from your side with device details, which will be helpful for us to validate the issue and provide you solution at earlier.

From the attached sample, I discovered that I was missing the necessary call to base.OnDraw in my custom implementation. The issue depicted in the right half of my attached image is now resolved.

Is the missing border on the right side of the datagrid an intended feature?

Hi Richard Popovich,

Thank you for the update.

We have checked the query Missing border on the right side of the datagrid an intended feature in Xamarin Android. We have logged enhancement report to improve datagrid border drawing logic. We considered to testing and enhancing all similar border drawing logic in the datagrid. We will need a time line untill 2020 volume 2 release to provide this support. This support will be included in our upcoming 2020 Volume 2 release which is expected to be roll out by end of June, 2020. We appreciate your patience until then.
