I have a client-side Blazor app using the SfTab (v18).

How to only show the close button for the focused tab?

We have validated your reported case and you can show the close button for focused tab alone by overriding the below css class in your sample. Refer the below code for that.

   .e-tab .e-tab-header.e-close-show .e-toolbar-item:not(.e-active) .e-icons.e-close-icon { 

        display: none !important; 

    } 

</style>
