Issue - SetFont / ApplyFont inserts a new paragraph

Hi,

setting fonts programmatically by calling SetFont / ApplyFont inserts a new paragraph into the text.
This shouldn't happen, right?

Cheers
Arno

Hi Arno,

Thank you for contacting Syncfuison support.

SetFont/ApplyFont doesn’t add new paragraph. We have prepared a sample for your requirement which can be downloaded from the following link.

https://www.syncfusion.com/downloads/support/forum/153423/ze/Font-293348259

Kindly modify the sample to reproduce the issue and share us the same which will be helpful for us to provide a prompt solution at the earliest.

Hi,

thank you for the sample, I'm not able to reproduce the issue any longer, on the other side I found a different way to set the font for the use case I'm thinking of.
The idea is just to set the default font when the entry is empty by adding HTML code with the proper styling.

Now it comes to the next question: Will there be any possibility to set the cursor in SfRichTextEditor to a specific position programmatically?
For the solution above I need to set the cursor within the span added to the HtmlText Property.

Anyways it would also be interesting to set the cursor to the last position when editing existing entries. So cursor functions would be an interesting feature in general.

Cheers

Hi Arno,

Currently, SfRichTextEditor doesn't have support to set/get CursorPosition property. We don’t have any immediate plans to implement this feature. At the planning stage for every release cycle, we review all open features. We will let you know when this feature is implemented. The status of this feature can be tracked using the following feedback portal
