Swipe for tiles

Hey all I have been going over the demos for the Tiles in all 3 platforms. WPF, Winforms and UWP. It looks nice but i have not seen an example that allows for multitouch & swiping left and right. All I have seen is just static boxes.

If you could provide a sample of this then that would be great!

Hi David,

Thank you for contacting Syncfusion support.

Query 1: “Regarding MultiTouch support”

Currently, We don't have support for MultiTouch in TileViewControl. Can, please, elaborate on your use case and share some more details. So, that we can analyze and proceed further.

Query 2: “Regarding swiping left and right”.

We hope you may mentioned scrolling support as "swiping left and right." If that's the case, you can use the virtualization mode for scrolling by mouse in the tile view control. In the normal mode, all items will be displayed in the control. So there's no need to scroll around. Please refer to the sample below if we have achieved the same output.

If that wasn't your case, we hope that you would mention the Drag and drop support. So, in that case you can refer to the below UG Document for further references.

If we have misunderstood any of your query, can you please elaborate your requirement and use case. So, that we can proceed further.

Regards,
Anirudhan

Thanks for the link re-post.

I loaded it up but it still does not allow me to swipe up or down in order to move them.

Besides, thats not the "tile" layout anyways like below??

Hi David,

Thank for your update.

Please check with the sample and video below where we drag the tile and move it by defining the AllowItemRepositioning="True " property.

Please let us know if you need further details on this, we will happy to assist you

Hi David,

Thanks for the update,

We need more details about the query that swipe the tile view is excepting as touch mode or expecting the scroll viewer is enabled with both sides to see all tile view.

If we are misunderstanding the queries, Please share the excepting behavior video or image for the reference.

The image that is in the post dated April 16th is what I am wanting to do.

What you posted was just showing moving people around and had nothing in it that looked like the image I posted.

For another reference here's another image

The above looks nothing like below from the video demo you posted:

And here is one that I drew up as another example of what I am wanting to do:

Did above explain it any better?

Hi David,

Thanks for the update,

We have checked the reported issue that “swipe the tile items” from our end. We have prepared a video to demonstrate the behavior as you are looking in tile view control. Please find the video link from the below location.

Note: We shot the video in Vertical swipe.

Please check the video and let us confirm your requirement in Tile View control as horizontal swipe.

It will be more helpful to proceed further on this.

Regards,

Sudharsan
