Facing issue in SfCardLayout/SfCardView accessibility support in iOS

Hi,

I am having trouble getting the swipe gesture working for the cards control in Xamarin.Forms with voice over on iOS.

I am not able to swipe to the next card when voice over is on.

Please reply soon as I have to launch my app soon and this is the only thing that is holding it back.

I have also attached a screenshot for your reference. It'll give you an idea of the general layout that I have built, which is pretty simple.

Regards,

Sumit Mehta

Hi Sumit,

In our current implementation, we don't have the support for voice over accessibility. We have logged a feature report for the same, and it has been tracked by using below updated feedback link.

This feature will be included in our upcoming Volume 2 release.

If you have any more specification/suggestions to the feature request, you can add it as a comment in the portal.

Please let us know if you need any further assistance.

Regards,
Suyamburaja J.

Hi,

Is there any ETA for the Volume 2 Release?

Since it's a Xamarin.Forms component, please also add support for TalkBack on Android. I have also updated the thread in the feature request forum.

Hi Sumit,

Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

We are currently working on this, and due to more architectural changes and to cover more working scenarios it is taking more time than expected. Also, we are encountering some technical blocks. So, we need more time to check these and we will include this support in our Volume 3, 2020 release which is expected to be rolled out by the end of September 2020. We are deeply sorry for this delay.

Regards,
Ramya S

Hi Sumit,

We would like to let you know that we need some clarification regarding this accessibility support for getting better clearance to implement the required feature.

Voice Access:  Can you please explain your expected behavior and requirement of card view accessibility. Based on this, we will analyze further and provide the final timeline.
