addPanel and updatePanel methods are marked as deprecated in 17.4.51

Question

What is the alternative for these methods? Also, the Api docs are not updated.

Greetings from Syncfusion support. 
 
We have checked your reported query. We have not deprecated the addPanel() and updatePanel() methods in Dashboard Layout component. We have added the code(‘@depricated’) only for our internal processing. So, you can use the both methods for achieving your use case. 
 
We will update our release notes, if we deprecate or update our source with any breaking changes.
