Hi Rohit,

Thank you for contacting Syncfusion support.

Our Essential DocIO library has support to create an update the TOC in Word starting with .Net core 3.0 and above. So, we request to upgrade to .Net Core 3.0 or above version. We suggest to use the following link to download .Net core 3.0 version NuGet.
https://www.nuget.org/packages/Syncfusion.DocIO.WinForms/17.4.0.50

You can use the above Windows Forms or WPF platform NuGet for .NET Core 3.0 and above targeting applications

To meet your requirement, please use the NuGet packages required details as mentioned in the notes tab of our following UG documentation page

https://help.syncfusion.com/file-formats/docio/nuget-packages-required

At present our Essential DocIO library doesn’t have support for updating the Table of content (TOC) in other .Net Core frameworks such as 1.0, 1.1, 2.0, 2.1. We have already logged this as a feature request in our database. We have considered this feature for the 2020 Volume 2 release which is expected to be rolled out at the end of June 2020 tentatively. We will update you once this feature has been implemented

Please track the status of the feature from the following feedback link.
https://www.syncfusion.com/feedback/2971/support-for-updating-table-of-contents

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Hi Manikandan

Thanks for the reply.

Actually we have an application developed using asp.net core 2.2 which is running inside linux container. We were wondering if DocIO support full feature of word file creation in this environment.

I was just going though below link and found some limitation with asp.net core TOC generation

Can you confirm if all feature will be available with asp.net core 3.0 so that we can think about upgrade.

Thanks
Rohit

Hi Rohit,

Thank you for your update.

As mentioned earlier, our Essential DocIO library supports all feature such as create, read, edit Word document and convert Word document to PDF in .Net Core 3.0 and above. Currently, we are checking whether the same set of features is working fine as expected in .Net Core 3.0 Linux container environment. We will update you with details before EOD.

Manikandan Ravichandran
