How to set a gradient view for the chat background and chat bubble background color?

Any command or sample code would be very helpful!

Currently, we are working on Theming and styling for SfChat. So could you please confirm us whether you want to apply gradient color as a background to SfChat?. We are little unclear with the term “Bubble”

Yes, I want to apply gradient color as a background color to the area the chats are stacked.  the light-gray colored area in this picture.

The part where I called "Bubble" is the blue part of Nancy's chat and the white area of Andrea's chat.

Currently we don’t have a support for the “Apply Gradient color as background to SfChat” and “Support to change bubble background color” and we logged feature request for the same. We will implement this feature in any of our upcoming release.    

   

At the planning stage for every release cycle, we review all open features and identify features for implementation based on specific parameters including product vision, technological feasibility, and customer interest. We will let you know when this feature is implemented. We appreciate your patience until then.

The “Support to apply background color to SfChat” feature has been included in our Essential Studio 2020 Volume 1 Beta Release version 18.1.0.36 and is available for download under the following link.
