SfPdfViewer toolbar visibilty change programatically

Hi,

is it possible to hide/show programmatically built-in toolbar for pdfViewer in Xamarin Forms?

We have tried to do
PdfControl.Toolbar = new Syncfusion.SfPdfViewer.XForms.Toolbar() { Enabled = isVisible };

but it seems that it works only once. After the page is displayed this code does have any influence.

It would be good to show/hide toolbar dynamically while the page is being displayed.

Hi Roman,

Greetings from syncfusion support.

At present, we do not have support for “Enable or disable the toolbar dynamically using SfPdfViewer”. We do not have any immediate plans to implement this feature. At the planning stage for every release cycle, we review all open features and identify features for implementation based on specific parameters including product vision, technological feasibility, and customer interest.

Based on our present commitments and the above parameters, this feature is expected to be implemented in our 2020 Volume 2 main release. We will let you know when this feature is implemented.

Disclaimer: The date for the feature implementation is tentative and not a commitment on our parts.

You can now track the status of this feature request here,

Jhansi Priya Ramesh

Hi Jhansi Priya Ramesh,

Thanks for the answer,

We will be looking forward to this feature.

Just we see this feature very useful when it comes to small phones and every millimetre counts.
PDF viewer on small phones is usually used in full-screen size, but navigation (which provides your toolbar) is also vital.
As commonly used, when the user touch centre of the screen or click on some button or via gestures a navigation toolbar appears.

So we will be very glad if this feature appears in the next releases.

Hi Roman,

As promised earlier, we will include the “Support for enable or disable the toolbar dynamically using SfPdfViewer in our 2020 Volume 2 main release which is expected to be available on June 2020.

Based on your update, we will provide patch for this support before the main release once after we complete the implementation on June 2020.
