Chart component does not format Group label correctly

The report viewer component does not handle "Group label" correctly.''

When using the designer, the preview (wpf application) does show the correct behaviour.
The expression written in "Labels" => "Format" is used for the formatting.

When the same report is rendered on a webpage, it shows the "orignal" dataset value, and it is not possible to override/translate that.

I want to use a loopup, and it is working in the designer.

But it is not a problem related to the lookup. Even a constant value of "A" is not accepted.

Hi Martin,

Since we are using ejChart in our web report viewer to render chart report item, the requested scenario will not work. However we have work around to achieve this requirement using “axesLabelRendering” event. Please refer the below documentation link.

Hi Mahendran,

Thank you very much for the feedback.

Could you please tell me how to update the text based on a lookup in a dataset?

As I wrote, I want to change an "id" (number) in a dataset, and translate that to a description in another dataset.

It works in the Report Designer, and I was (of cause) expecting it to work in the Report Viewer as well.

Is it possible to get the "Formattet" property and change the group text? Or is the formattet text (based on a lookup) not available in the event?

Best regards
Martin
