Word mailmerge with HTML fields?

Hello

I'm using DocIO MailMerge feature to generate Word (docx) documents, which works fine.
However, some of the merge fields sometimes contains HTML instead of simple text .
This is very simple HTML, mostly short text and formulas with subscripts and superscripts.
Is it possible to somehow insert and correctly convert HTML into a merge field?
