We suspect that the cause of the problem in your application might be due to binding multiselect removing event and then set args.cancel=true. This will prevent the selected item from being removed and the chip is not removed from multiselect. Please ensure whether you have cancelled the removing event in your application.
If the issue still occurs in you end, kindly modify the above share sample to replicate the issue in your end. This will help us isolate the root cause of the issue and provide you a prompt solution at the earliest.
