Diagram with <input>, drag from input to diagram loses focus on input

Hi, I have an issue with the Diagram control:

When you drag to select an input, move the mouse over the diagram and release, the input loses focus. The expected behaviour is that the input will remain in focus and the dragged characters will be selected.

I have taken a video showing this issue on our side and also on the page https://js.syncfusion.com/demos/web/dashboard/diagrambuilder/default.html.

We have understand from video that the reported issue is the “ TextBox lost its focus when we click on Diagram”. If this is the reported issue then this is the common behavior of  Standard HTML behavior not only the Diagram behavior. When we  select one control and then click on the other control the later control lost its focus automatically. We have attached a video to explain this. Please follow the below link for video.

Hi,

The issue is not "TextBox loses focus when we click on Diagram", it is "TextBox loses focus when we mouse down on textbox, drag over diagram and release on Diagram".

Steps to produce:
  1. Type something into a textbox
  2. Mouse down on the textbox - Do not release mouse button
  3. Drag cursor over the Diagram
  4. Mouse up on the Diagram - Release mouse button here
Expected results: Textbox does not lose focus; selection of what you dragged is selected on the textbox
Actual results: Textbox loses focus; selection of what you dragged is not selected on the textbox.

You can see the difference if following the steps, but replace Diagram with any other html element, for instance a canvas. Try it with this fiddle http://jsfiddle.net/1pkrfodm/
  1. Mouse down on the textbox - Do not release mouse button
  2. Drag cursor over the canvas
  3. Mouse up on the Diagram - Release mouse button here
Results: Textbox does not lose focus; selection of what you dragged is selected on the textbox.
I would like the Diagram to behave consistently with the canvas on mouse up.

We confirmed that the issue with TextBox loses focus when we mouse down on textbox, drag over diagram and release on Diagram is a defect and we have logged a defect report.  
  
The fix for this issue is estimated to be available in our Volume 4 2018 release which is tentatively scheduled on mid of December 2018.
