memory usage for fonts

When using mailmerge and converting DOCX to PDF. The memory usage spikes to around 733mb.  Please see screenshot below.





Is there any reason why the memory usage is so high?
Are there any remedy to decrease the memory usage?
Is Syncfusion working on optimizing performance of docio library?

Looking forward for a quick reply.

Note this is happening on our production environment and is affecting performance of the whole application.

Kindly treat this as urgent.

We are unable to reproduce the memory usage issue. From the given details, we suspect that the issue is specific to the document you use. We have shared the sample that we tried to reproduce the issue at our end. Kindly modify the issue reproducing sample along with the input file which will be helpful for us to analyze further from our side.  
 
 
Note: Please find the input file in the “wwwroot\Data” for above sample application. 
 
Please let us know if you have any concerns.

We can reproduce the reported issue from our side and suspect that is due to dependent SkiaSharp graphic library which requires some time. We are analyzing on this with high priority and will provide you the details on 24th October 2018.

Thank you for your patience. 
 
On further analyzing with the reported issue, we have found that the memory issues are occurred due to SkiaSharp Graphics library. We have used SkiaSharp Graphics library as a dependency in DocIORenderer. We have planned to enhance the Word to PDF conversion in portable platforms and, we considered this scenario in our enhancement. The fix for this issue will be included in our 2018 Volume 4 main release which will be available at the end of December 2018, tentatively.
