How to add custom icons for appearance in TreeGrid?

The treegrid page shows an inbox style tree with icons for inbox, drafts, contacts and other folders. I've look at the documentation and there aren't any examples of how to add custom icons to rows or cells; yet, the page also mentions it's "Fully Customizable" and you can "Completely customize cell and row appearance."

Can someone point me to a wiki, blog, or anything that can show an example of this feature?

Thanks!
