PdfViewer only displays the first two pages

Question

In the current version, the PdfViewer on Xamarin Android only displays the first two pages of a document, the rest of the pages are shown completely blank. Sometimes, when I zoom in, I'll get other pages to display (e.g. in the middle of the doument), but only 2-3 at the same time. iOS works, I've tried 10 different PDFs, same results.

EDIT: my bad, I was accidentally still using the previous version. Now everything is being displayed, but after the first two pages it takes 20-30 sec, and the app hangs, before the third page is rendered, and afterwards the controls is sluggish in response. Is that normal?

Hmm, seems to be the case for every document I try. It shows the first 2-3 pages, and then a whole lot of blank pages after that. But now, even if I wait for a couple of minutes. nothing changes.

Sometimes zooming in and out will cause other pages to display, but sometimes not. Also, the zooming is very rough (i.e. zooming out hardly ever succeeds, zooming in works better).

What could I be doing wrong? It's 16.3.0.21, Xamarin.Android (NOT Xamarin.Forms), tested with Release build on device (Huawei P20 Pro).
