Remove a single serie of an axis with multiple series

Hi,

I have a SfChart with multiple yAxes. On each axis I have multiple FastLineSeries. When I remove a serie now, all according axis (yAxis and xAxis) will also be removed.

Chart.Series.Remove.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks in advance

Hi DW,

Greetings from Syncfusion, we have analyzed the reported scenario and we like to explain the behavior of our axis in detail. By default, we will have only x and y axis, if you want an additional axis to represent a different value in any other series, you can create an axis with respect to that particular series. So, if the series is removed the axis with respect to it will also be removed and this is the behavior in our chart.

Having said that, we can work around it by setting the item source of the series to null, instead of removing it from the chart. Based on this we have prepared a simple sample and it can be downloaded from the link below.

Sample: 139960

Let us know if you need any other clarification.

Thanks,
Michael

Hi Michael,

thanks a lot for your reply. Unfortunately this does not solve my problem, because this serie will still exist and be spam in my chart.

If it is clear that this problem exists, could it be possible to fix it?

Best regards
 DW

Hi DW,

Currently with the given behavior we are afraid this requirement cannot be achieved now, we recommend the previously stated work around for now. Having said that we are consider your requirement as a feature request in chart and logged and added to our feature request list.

While this feature itself is important we are afraid we cannot provide you an exact timeline on when this feature will be available in our suite, this feature will be available in any one of our upcoming Volume releases.

Thanks,
Michael
