Map Rotation

Is it possible to rotate the Map from true north orientation?

Hi Michael, 

Greetings from Syncfusion. 
 
We have analyzed your query. But as of now, we don’t have support to rotate the rendered map control. Since you didn’t provide additional details, we wish to get more information regarding this query. So that we can able to log a feature request for this and it will be helpful while implementing this feature.  

Are you referring to rotate the map, so that the North direction is on bottom and South direction is on top ? Please provide some reference link or screenshot for better understanding.

Specifically what we are looking to do. We have geometry on the map and want to rotate the map so that the bearing of the geometry is oriented as close to left to right as possible. For example if the geometry is mostly north to south, we could set the bearing of the map to 90 degrees and the geometry would head from left to right in the view.

Hi Michael, 

Thanks for providing the information. 

We have considered your requirement “Rotate the map from true north orientation” as a new feature and added it to our features request list. 

While the feature itself is valuable, we have not yet planned to implement it. Therefore, we are not able to provide a definitive timeline for now. This feature will be implemented in any of our upcoming releases.

Is this  feature stil part of a future release. I think more users think Thatcher this is a highly valuable option.

Hi Theo, 

Thank you for contacting Syncfusion support. 

Currently, we do not support “Rotating the map” in the Maps control. We have not received more votes for this feature from our other customers. So we have not implemented this feature in our control. Also, we do not have immediate plans to implement this feature. It will be available in any of our upcoming releases. Meanwhile, please follow the below feedback link to keep track of this feature.
