Add overlay drawings and controls

Hello Syncfusion Team,

I would like to add a crosshair cursor that is located in the middle of the map. It shall be at the exact middle even when the map is panned and keep its size when the map is zoomed.

Also, I would like to add buttons on top of the map for going to actual user position and similar tasks.

How can I achieve this?

Greetings from Syncfusion, currently we do not have support for cross hair in maps in our Xamarin suite, we are considering this requirement as a feature request and added it to our feature request list. While this feature itself is important, we cannot provide you a concrete timeline on this, so this feature will be implemented in any of our upcoming Volume releases.  

 

Also, regarding your query "button on top of the map" can you provide us more information on this requirement so that it will be helpful for us to provide you a better solution.

According to your requirement we have prepared a work around sample such that a cross cursor will be placed at the center of the map and it will continue being positioned at the center despite of zooming/panning operation performed on the map.

Hello Michael,

clean and simple. I have used that approach in the meanwhile to place a button on top of the map. Using it for the cross cursor didn't come to my mind, since I found another solution. Which is very sophisticated and not working properly! I will switch to your suggestion.
