Viewer defaults to hiding layers.

When opening existing PDFs (created from other programs) into the PDF viewer... annotations/shapes/etc. are hidden. Perhaps it hides all layers on startup? The toolbar's layer button is inactive though so unable to check if that is in fact the problem. How do we fix the default setting to show everything?

Thanks!

I've attached an example PDF file & noted desktop screenshots showing how PDF file looks vs a typical browser window.  Also, the PDFViewerControl's "EnableLayers" is set to true.

Hi Read,

Thank you for contacting Syncfusion support,

Here the provided document doesn’t contain any layers in it. Hence the toolbar’s layer button is inactive.

Provided document contains, edittext annotation. Currently we don’t have support for “Free text annotation in PDF viewer”, hence it doesn’t show in the viewer.

The reported feature will be included in our Essential studio 2018 Volume 3 release which will be available at the end of September 2018.
