Hi Doug,

Thanks for your interest in Essential JS 2.

Currently, we don’t have any immediate plan for Report Viewer component in Essential JS 2. We would like to know more about your application use cases for report viewer. So, that it will be helpful in defining and prioritizing features from our end.

Please let us know if you require any further assistance on this.

I am currently writing a web app for a school district wherein teachers create and print a two page report for parents about a specific learning area. EJ1 should be fine for this but I was wondering about the possibility of using EJ2 going forward,

Hi Sarosh,

We have not implemented the support for ReportViewer control in Essential JS2. So highly recommended you to use ASP.NET Core ReportViewer control in Essential JS1. We have logged this feature, it will be available in any of our upcoming releases and we don’t have immediate plans on implementing in Essential JS2.

Please refer the below UG documentation link for create a ReportViewer sample in ASP.NET Core

Hello,

I would like to express my support for bringing the report viewer control to EJ2.

Syncfusion wants to push the BoldBI and BoldReports products, that is understandable.  But, they are enterprise level products with more functionality than many of your customers need.

Thank you,
Randy Craven

Hi Doug,

As per our plan of having the reporting components as separate from our Syncfusion Essential Studio, we have introduced Bold Reports from Syncfusion. Based on this we will not have further feature updates with Syncfusion Essential Studio reporting products from now onwards. So, you have to start using our Bold Reports for Reporting controls.

Hence, we don’t have our Bold Reports components with ej2 controls. But there is possibility to use Bold Reports along with the ej2 controls. Please refer the below documentation on how to use Bold Reports along with ej2 controls,

Please let us know if you need further assistance regarding this.
