Animations on SfListView Group expand/contract

Hi,

I'm struggling to work out if it's possible to trigger an animation of the listview items in a group that is expanded or contracted. What i'm hoping to achieve is a smooth collapse of the group rather than an instant collapse by animating the size of the items to reduce to 0, but can't work out how to hook into the ListView Items after the GroupExpanding/Collapsing events.

Any help or advise would be appreciated!

We have checked the reported query “Animations on SfListView Group expand/collapse” from our end. We have not clear about your requirement please state the exact requirement. We would like to let you know that you can achieve animation to the item or group header item by extending theItemGenerator class of SfListView to create ListViewItem or GroupHeaderItem and apply animation to the item. We have prepared the sample to provide animation in the sample level when expand or collapse the groups.

Thanks for the sample Vigneshkumar, it's close to what I want.

I was hoping for something similar to the this animation either where the individual list items change size (grow or shrink), or, like the whole container of the group grows or shrinks over the top of the list items.

Sorry for the inconvenience.  

  

We have analyzed the reported requirement based on the attached gif file and found that we could not provide this support “Animation support for group expand and collapse” in the SfListView since SfListView architecture is completely developed based on Virtualization concept so if we could provide this support, we have to change the architecture of SfListView. We regret to let you know that the SfListView does not have support for animate the expand and collapse the group.
