Error when duration zero in Gantt Resources View

Hi,

In some cases we need to have at first tasks with duration equal to 0.
I've seen that the behaviour when doing this in ProjectView Mode is to show a milestone. That's ok for us, but when you do the same in ResourcesView Mode, a task with some duration appears and it changes to a very thin line when moving.
Any idea why?

Thanks.

Hi Oscar,
Thank you contacting Syncfusion support
There is no support to display milestones in Resource view Gantt, only tasks with valid durations can be displayed in Resource Gantt. In Project view Gantt, milestones are used to indicate an event but in Resource view Gantt, only valid tasks can be assigned to the resources and no milestones can be assigned to a resource. We suggest you to use strip line to indicate an even in Resource view Gantt.
Please check here for more details about strip lines in Gantt.
Please let us know if you require further assistance on this.

Hi,

Ok, but this does not aswer the part of the bad behaviour in the ResourcesView gantt when you add a task with duration equal to 0. When you do this, a task with some duration appears and changes its width when it is moved. Why?

Thanks.

Hi Oscar,
In Resource view Gantt, there is no support to assign milestones for the resources. We have confirmed the behavior you are facing while rendering a task with duration value as 0 as an issue and we logged an issue report regarding this. The fix for the issue will be available in our upcoming 2018 Volume 2 Service pack 1 release, which is expected to be roll out in the end of July 2018. Once this issue has been fixed, in Resource view Gantt the tasks with 0 duration value will not be rendered anymore.
Please let us know if you require further assistance on this.
