Date Format of dates when exporting spreadsheet

Hi

Can you please tell me how the date format is set when exporting the spreadsheet to excel, on columns containing dates?

We seem to be getting mixed results on different servers.

Thanks

Damien

Hi Damien,

Thank you for your interest in Syncfusion products.

The date formats are seems to be different for different servers:

When we export the spreadsheet as excel file with date format applied columns, the exported excel file displays the date formats (short date & long date) based on the end user’s machine culture, that is the default behavior of the Microsoft excel. For example if the machine is in default English culture the exported excel file is displayed with (MM/DD/YYYY) date format, and when we change the date and number formats in control panel  as french culture the same date format(MM-DD-YY) is displayed as like in the below screenshots.

For more details refer the below links:

In Spreadsheet the date formats (long date & short date) are applied by using the client side method “format()”. For your convenience we have prepared a JSPlayground sample to apply the Date formats in spreadsheet, please find the sample link below.

Could you please check the above sample & details shared and get back to us with more information, if we misunderstood your requirement. So that we can analyze based on that and provide a better solution? The information provided would be great help for us to proceed further.
