Range Slider height doesn't work with wrap content

Hi,

Looks like if you set android:layout_height="wrap_content" it doesn't show at all. You need to specify a concrete height, e.g. 100dp.

Could this be fixed to work with wrap content please?

We have checked the reported issue "Range Slider height doesn't work with wrap content" and and we were unable to reproduce it from our side. We have attached the sample which we have checked this issue. Please find the sample from the below link.

Thanks for the reply. Based on your sample, there is definitely something not right going on. In your sample, the wrap_content kind of behaves like match_parent. The slider should be at the top of the screen, not in the middle.

Also, for example, if you add two range sliders to the same view, the first one with wrap_content, then you won't see the second one at all.

For my situation, my layout is a bit more complicated. I have a fragment inside a frame layout. That fragment is a nested scroll view, then just a normal Linear Layout. I have attached your modified example to show that wrap_content doesn't show the slider in this situation. However, if you give the slider a concrete height, for example 50dp, then it shows up fine.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

We have checked the reported issue in SfRangeSlider Control. We could able to reproduce the reported issue. We have logged the defect report for the same. We are currently working on the reported issue and the fix will be available in Volume 2 Sp 1 release which is expected to be rolled out by the end of July 2018.

Sorry to let you know that we are currently facing some issues in providing the default height for the control when defined as a WrapContent since it breaks the current implementation in source changes and we are working on that. Due to this the fix for the RangeSlider placement with WrapContent will be included in our Volume 2 SP2 release which will be rolled out by the end of August 2018.
