Column bar chart is not being rendered when dynamic series coloring used

Hi,We have been testing report viewer for a while. Testing our existing report to see how they are rendered with the Syncfusion engine and its differences with SSRS renderer.Here, I am going to explain multiple issues that I am observing.For you to reproduce the issues, I am attaching RDL files.1) In the attachment, please check BarCharTest_1 file to see ColumnBarChart is not being rendered at all. Please also notice that there are two series added to the bar charts. And in the series configuration for the first series as a filling color, a column from the dataset has been chosen. And also notice in Category Group Properties menu, no Group expression is provided. Given that, please see the comparison between how SSRS dev server and Syncfusion is rendering by using the following link.2) In the attachment, please check BarCharTest_2 file to see ColumnBarChart is not rendered similar to Microsoft Report Viewer. The difference between BarChartTest_2 and BarChartTest_1 is this time, I have added Group Expression in Category Group Properties menu.Please review the difference between Syncfusion report viewer and MS report viewer in the next screenshot.3) Another issue on column bar chart rendering is X axis is not appearing on Syncfusion rendering. Please check the following images. You can use any rdl file to repro the issue4) Even though BarCharTest_2 rdl is being rendered by Syncfusion engine, the second series on the chart is not rendered correctly according to its Pattern style. Pattern style has been configured as NarrowHorizontal, it seems like it is not working at all. You can use BarCharTest rdl file to reproduce the issue.Please check the following screenshot.5) Another issue that I found was about the formatting of Y-axis range values. Please check the below screenshot. To reproduce, you can use BarCharTest_2 file.I have been testing report viewer for our existing reports we had. 1) In the attachment, please check BarCharTest_1 file to see ColumnBarChart is not being rendered at all. Please also notice that there are two series added to the bar charts. And in the series configuration for the first series as a filling color, a column from the dataset has been chosen. And also notice in Category Group Properties menu, no Group expression is provided.  
 

In Microsoft ReportBuilder when Group Expression is empty then first field value of the dataset has been used to render the chart. But at our end we don’t have a support for rendering chart without group expression. So we have logged this as a feature request and it will be included in our upcoming Essential Studio Volume 3 release which is expected in the month of August 2018. As of now we request you to set the GroupExpression to the Series to render the chart in report viewer.

We were able to reproduce the mentioned problem with your shared RDL file at our end. We have confirmed that the issue is a defect and logged a defect report on this and this fix will be included in our upcoming Essential Studio Volume 3 release which is expected in the month of August 2018.
