Best way to debug why no items are showing?

Hi Team

I wondered what the best way to debug why a list of items are not showing up in the item source? My picker works when I use your example but when I try using my own code its not showing, but when I hit a breakpoint (from a button) I can see the data is there in the collection.

No errors are showing up in my debug screen in visual studio either.
