After combining documents it looks differently

Hi guys,

After combining two documents the layout of the second document was changed.
For example the text "Are you Ready? – (OSD) – Mr Lutz (Breakouts 1 & 4)"moved to the next page.
But if you open the original document "doc2.docx", you will see this text on the previous page.

I've attached example of the code.

Thanks,
Alex

Hi Alex,

Thank you for your update.

On further analyzing with the reported issue, we have found that the input Word document (“doc1.docx”) contains empty paragraph in the footer and the Word document (“doc2.docx”) does not contain footer. In the output Word document (“combine.docx”) an empty paragraph is preserved in the footer, so the contents moved to the next page.

As per Microsoft Word behavior if the section does not contain footer, then it preserves as same as the footer of previous section in the Word document. So, an empty paragraph from the footer of last section of the destination document (“doc1.docx”) are considered as footer for the imported contents in output Word document (“combine.docx”).

To meet your requirement, to preserve the content as like source Word document (“doc2.docx”), we have cleared the items in the footer of destination Word document (“doc1.docx”) which contains only empty paragraph. We have also modified the sample as per your requirement and please find the modified sample from the below location:

Please let us know if you have any other questions.
