Feature request: Range Slider should distinguish between drag and drop

Currently when a RangeChanging event is fired it is not possible to find whether the control is currently being dragged.
An IsBeingDragged property, or DragStarted and DragCompleted events, or Dragged and Dropped events would allow this.

This is especially helpful for implementing media seekbars, e,g. https://stackoverflow.com/questions/723502/wpf-slider-with-an-event-that-triggers-after-a-user-drags . (This is why we need this,)

Hi Charlesroddie,

Thank you for contacting Syncfusion Support.

The Support for the SfRangeSlider with IsBeingDragged, DragStarted and DragCompleted event will be implemented and released in our Volume 1 Service pack 1, which is expected to be rolled out by the end of March.

Erm. Sorry, but I can't find one of those events in 16.2.0.46. What am I missing?

I tried to use IsFocused to only get value changes when the View is actually touched, but IsFocused ist always "false".

Thx for helping,
Martin

Hi Martin,

Currently we have not released the feature DragEvents in SfRangeSlider and will be included in our Volume 3 release which will be rolled out by the end of September 2018. Please visit our websites periodically for updates.

Thank you for the quick reply.

ATM, is there any other way to differentiate if the value on the slider has been set via code or manually via drag-and-drop?

Cheers,
Martin

Hi Martin,

Thanks for the update.

Currently we don’t have possible workaround to achieve your requirement in SfRangeSlider. We have implemented the feature DragEvents and will be available in our Volume 3 2018 September release.

Is this feature released?Because I cannot use the DragCompleted event,in the event handler method it has an unrecognized namespace Syncfusion.SfRangeSlider.XForms.DragThumbEventArgs

Edit:Nevermind: It is my mistake,at compile time the error disappeaed!
