Real time update

I want to show 2k points on a line graph and update it 30 times per second. Has anyone done something similar, or any suggestions on how I should do this?

I'm not very familiar with the Chart control, but I have tried to make a line chart and add series, then clear it and add the next one. But this is very slow and I get only about 3 updates per second.

Hi Ola, 

Thanks for using our products. 

We have analyzed your query. We would like to let you know that, according to data visualization norms, updating data for 30times for each second is not suggested solution. If you update the chart 30times for each second, then the data will not visible, so this is not correct approach for data visualization components.  

Also we would like to know the following scenarios in which you need to update the chart, this will be helpful in further analysis in preparing the sample with respect to your scenario. 

  • Will you get 30 points for a second and need to update the chart with 30 points once in a second.
  • Or will you get 2000 points for each second and need to update those points.
  • Do you need to remove the points in the top of array while adding new points (we have did this in the below sample in which we have added point and removed the one point at the top array collection(data source)).

We have prepared a sample by updating the chart once in 400milliseconds. Kindly find the sample for reference from the below link.
