Hi Jignesh,

Thank you for using Syncfusion products.

We regret to let you know that we do not support providing the markup annotations over the images and drawings in the PDF document using PDF viewer control. As per PDF specifications, we cannot apply text markup annotations over the images and drawings in the PDF document. The text markup annotation support in the PDF viewer control can be applied over the text contents only in the PDF document.  However, We can highlight the images and drawings content by using freehand annotation or shape annotation. At present we do not provide support for free hand and shape annotations in PDF viewer control Angular JS. If the suggested solutions would fulfill your requirements, we can proceed log it as a feature request. Please find the screenshots below.

Please let us know if you need any further assistance.

Hi Mohan,
Many thanks for your response. Can you please advise me on the timeframe for implementing the solution you suggested i.e. Highlighting Drawings and Images using Freehand Annotation or Share Annotation? Also please do let me know if you can support adding Hyperlink while doing annotation.
We would be in a better position to take a call, if you can help me time it may take to get these features implemented.
Thank you, Jignesh

Hi Jignesh,

Thank you for your update.

At present, we do not provide support for free hand and shape annotations and adding hyperlinks annotations in the PDF document using PDF viewer control in the ASP.NET MVC platform. However, we have added these features to our feature request list. We do not have immediate plans to implement these features and these features will be available in any of our future releases. The feature implementations would also greatly depend on the factors such as product design, code compatibility and complexity.

Please let us know if you need any further assistance.

Sabari Anand
