installation of dashboard service for dashboard viewer

Hi,

do we need to install the dashboard service for the dashboard viewer hosted in IIS if we want to have one single
installation of our mvc application with the viewer embedded?
Or is it possible to install the dashboard service as a windows service for this use case?

Hi Patrick, 

Yes, for using dashboard service in single installation MVC application, you need to host the dashboard service in IIS or windows. For hosting service in IIS or Windows, you need to install the SDK setup. Please get the setup from below link:

For hosting service in IIS or Windows, follow the steps provided in the following UG document:

                The Windows Service provided in the SDK platform is for demo purpose only and is not appreciated to be used within a production environment. It is appreciable to host the Dashboard Service within IIS to be used in your MVC application.
