As of now we don’t have a support to render SSRS reports in Xamarin Form. We have considered this “Report Viewer for Xamarin Forms” as a feature request and a support incident has been created under your account to track the status of this requirement. Hi,

We would also like a Report Viewer for Xamarin Forms. Having one for UWP is good, but why not other platforms?

Thanks for your interest in Syncfusion Components. 

As of now we don't have a control to view reports in Xamarin Forms. We have considered “Report Viewer for Xamarin Forms platform” as feature request and logged a feature request task on this. It can be implemented in any of our upcoming release.

Hi Krati, 

Currently we don’t have support for Report Viewer in Xamarin(Xamarin.iOS, Xamarin.Andriod and Xamarin.Forms) and we have already logged feature task on this. However, you can use our UWP report viewer in Xamarin Forms Shared project type. We have prepared a simple sample based on this and it can be downloaded from the below location.

Hi Krati, 

As of now, we don’t have immediate plans of Report Viewer Xamarin.Forms. As an immediate solution, we planned to provide the Report Writer library in upcoming release to generate PDF document for RDLC report with Xamarin.Forms application. By using export feature, you can show the generated PDF document with pdf viewer. Please find the sample from following link, 

Note: We have provided sample run with 15.4.0.17.

Currently we don’t have our reportwriter in Xamarin platform and we are having plans to include this for Xamarin platform. Until now we will generate custom assembly to resolve this issue for you based on your assembly version and also, we will share you the custom assembly in future if you are going to upgrade your product version. We will get back to you once we have prepared custom assembly for 17.1.0.41 version.

Hi Vinoth,

This is a nice sample. Updated the 

Syncfusion.Report.Portable.dll to 18.4200.0.30 and it required a reference to System.Configuration.ConfigurationManager.


Once this reference was added via Nuget the sample throws the following exception:

System.Configuration.ConfigurationErrorsException: 'Configuration system failed to initialize'


I would be grateful if you could please let us know how to resolve this and/or whether your team have prepared a custom assembly for 17.1.0.41 or later version.
