I have the 188.8.131.52 version of essential studio , I want to upgrade to the 184.108.40.206, but this makes that my projects configured with version .53 they do not work, if I install the .58 , the problem was solved after uninstall the .58 version and reinstall the .53 version, How I should do the update?
Note: when I did the update, I tried to use migration tool, but I did not get any results
- Should I install both versions? - Should I install the .58 version , without check the "Remove previous versions" option?
Also let us know if you face any issues while migrating the projects using above steps.
Q2) Should I install both versions.
A2) It is not required to install both v220.127.116.11 and v18.104.22.168 to upgrade the Syncfusion version. You can install v22.214.171.124 alone. If you don’t need v126.96.36.199, you can uninstall from Control Panel.
Note: As Syncfusion supports multiple versions you can have both v188.8.131.52 and v184.108.40.206 installed in your machine.
Q3) Should I install the .58 version , without check the "Remove previous versions" option
A3) You can install the v220.127.116.11 by enabling the “Uninstall the previous installed assemblies from GAC” checkbox if you don’t want the v18.104.22.168 assemblies in GAC. Enabling this check box will remove the previously installed Syncfusion assemblies from GAC location.
If you are uninstalling the v22.214.171.124, then you have to migrate your projects to v126.96.36.199 by using any one of the above mentioned migration links depending on the platform project you are using.
