Change color of background and foreground of a specific Tabitemext

Hi,

I need to have a specific TabItemExt in a TabControlExt that must be "highlihted" so to speak so to make it different from the other tabitems
I need to change background and foreground colors.
I've tried to check the theme studio exporting the style for the TabItemExt but I find it excessively complicated for such a simple task.
So I ask is there a simple way to change something on the style of a specific tab item to make it different from the others both when selected and not selected?
Defining a style and assigning it to the tabitemext I've been able to set the background but only for the not selected style and it is not very nice to see because
I'm using the Office 2013 style and when I set the Background the tab item becomes of my background color but its form is not a rectangle but a trapeze... the left side is oblique...

sorry but I'm not very good with styling...
thank you in advance
Sabrina

Hi Sabarina,

Thank you for using Syncfusion products.

We have analyzed your query "Change color of Background and foreground of a specific TabItemExt" and we have prepared a sample that tries to meet your requirement. In our sample, we have set the Background when the TabItemExt get selected by editing ItemContainerStyle of the TabControlExt. The same has been demonstrated in our sample, please download it from the following link:

Sample:  TabControlExt
