Dropdown record selection problem when record contains lessthan and greaterthan symbol

HI,

I am using angularJS dropdown and binding json data in dropdown.

Data contains lessthan(<) and greterthan(>) so in dropdown data is coming correct but when i select that data i get &lt; and &gt; i don't know why this happens..

I am attaching video that will make you very clear.
