Hi Jakob,

Thanks for using Syncfusion products.

Using Syncfusion HTML5 controls or MVC controls mainly depends on the application you are going to develop and the language you are familiar with. HTML5 controls can be used in static HTML pages, PHP, Angular JS application, for creating single Page application etc... If you are familiar with JavaScript and JQuery you can use these components, since it will be much easier for you to understand and use the components quickly.

If you are going to develop MVC application and comfortable working with C# or something closer to .NET language means you could make use of the MVC controls. Our ASP.NET MVC controls are just the wrappers created for the JavaScript components. The script file for rendering both JS and MVC components are same.

Link for the demo of our JS components and MVC components are provided below. You can see the code blocks to understand how to render these components.

JS - http://js.syncfusion.com/demos/web/

MVC - http://mvc.syncfusion.com/demos/web

You can also refer the online help site for getting started with JS and MVC components

Please refer the above links and you identify which will be easier and more suitable for your application.

Please let us know if you have further queries.
