Sample for a Map based on Latitude and longitude

Trying to find a sample in which I can use the map control and drop a pin based on latitude and longitude provided via a model/viewbag

don't need the controls on the map, really the user should not be able to zoom or scroll, just need to say here is where you are. Do you have a sample of something like that?
