PDF components
Hi,
I'm about to evaluate your PDF components.
With your components, is it possible to add annotations like Strike Through, Freehand, Highlight and Notes to an already existing PDF document and save it.
If yes, are these annotations visible in any other PDF viewer tool as well as your PDF viewer component?
Cheers,
Enrico

Hi Enrico,
Thank you for your interest in syncfusion products,
Yes, it is possible to add annotations like Strike Through, Freehand, Highlight and Notes to an already existing Pdf document and save it. it will get visible in all the pdf viewer which supports Adobe PDF Annotations, Currently we don't have annotation supports in our Essential PDF Viewer so these annotation not visible in our pdf viewer.

Thanks for your answer.
Actually, when I open a PDF, which includes annotations in your PDF Viewer demo app, it displays annotations like Strinke Through, Highlight, but it does not show notes.

Enrico

It actually even shows a little symbol at the position of a note, but does not show the actual text of the note.

Hi Enrico,
Thank you for your update,
Currently we do support only link and page annotation in our pdf viewer, we don't have the support for other annotations, it only displays the graphical content present in the page.
So it doesn't show the notes in the pdf viewer, we will let you once the feature has been implemented.

Hi Enrico,
Thank you for your update.
PDF Viewer for WinRT platform internally uses Microsoft rendering engine to generate images of the pages of the PDF document and this support displaying all the elements that are supported by Microsoft rendering engine. At present, Microsoft rendering engine supports viewing PDF annotations in the graphics level. However, it will not be interactive as in adobe.
Please, let us know if you need any further assistance.
Thanks,
Uthistran S.
