Default Background is Custom1

 oWorkbook.SetPaletteColor(ExcelKnownColors.Custom1, Color.Purple) sets the background of all charts to purple.

Hi Justin,

Thank you for using Syncfusion products.

The default background color of the chart is custom1. If you are trying  change the palette color then, background color of the chart also changes.
