Proper suppport for Angular

We are a long standing customer of Syncfusion and where extremely excited about the new Syncfusion Javascript library.  When it went into beta we started evaluating it and where impresses.  However we also decided to move to an Angular stack using a Yeoman dev environement.  With this move we found that Syncfusion Javascript library no longer really works at all except if we were to write our own Angular wrapper.  Fortunately we found that KENDO http://demos.telerik.com/kendo-ui/  with Angular-Kendo https://github.com/Fincore/angular-kendo  works out of the box.

So at least short term we got a solution.  However given our strong investment in the Syncfusion stack we would like to find out if Syncfusion is planning to officially support integration with Angular  (yes we know the Angular demos with Syncfusion Javascript  but they seem to be pure demo ware and not in any way documented or at least shared with open source code ....) ?

Since we would have to migrate to Kendo sooner rather than later if Angular will not be supported in the future it would be very helpful to know.

Please let us know.   (my hope is that you wopuld support Angular  but we need to know either way)

Hi Marcelle,

Thanks for your interest in Syncfusion Products.

We would like to let you know that we have already provided the following angular JS support, we have already planned to provide complete integration with angular JS and logged a feature request for this support.

-          Data binding support for data bound widgets such as autocomplete, dropdown list, menu, rotator, tree view, tag cloud and  toolbar.

-          Data role, EJ role, and basic directives support for all our Essential JS controls.

Documentation for Angular JS support is in design phase currently and we will publish the document in online soon.

We are currently validating the Angular JS support of Essential JS with Yeoman dev environment and we will update you regarding this in three business days (02/17/2014).  We appreciate your valuable patience until then.

Please get back to us if you need further assistance.

Regards,

Rajendran R

Hi Rajendran,

we're bootstrapping a new webapp, which we'd like to be built on top of angular, backed by an asp.net MVC || webAPI service, and we're interested in the Syncfusion Javascript library. All the controls look fine, but at the moment the uncomplete Angular support is a big no-no.

What you wrote above looks good, so what I'm asking is:
1 - Is the angularJs support still planned for the early April release? (Do you have a date?)
2 - Will it be properly documented? :) (no drama here, your actual documentation looks fine to me)
3 - How will it be implemented? Custom attributes in the controls initializer? Complete two-way binding?
4 - Will it be somehow implemented also in the OLAP js grid? (just for the info, we're not [yet] planning to use angular there).

Regards,
Antonio
