Upgrade TextBoxExt to SfTextBoxExt - Where is .Validate and .HasError?

After upgrading to the new version, my code broke. I used .Validate and .HasError quite extensively.

They appear to be gone from the transition from TextBoxExt to SfTextBoxExt.

Is there an equivalent? I was unable to find it...
