Table of Content at the beginning of the document

Hi,

Is there an elegant way to build a ToC? I mean, can I, while I generate the content embed bookmarks, which then can be linked to in a ToC that I will add at the beginning of the document?

This poses a few interesting challenges and I'm not sure it's doable:
  1. Each such "bookmark" should have a name that the ToC will use.
  2. The page number will be determined by the framework when it generates the ToC (it knows where the "bookmarks" are and what's their name).
I don't think there's a built-in feature for that, but is there a common practice to achieve that?

Thanks!

Hi David,

Thank you for your update.

Yes, it is possible to link the table of content with bookmarks. This can be achieved by using PdfLightTable. Please find the sample available in the link below to achieve your target,

TableOfContent.zip

Please let us know if you have any questions.

Regards,

George
