Hi,

I am having some issues making the X axis label frequency automatic.

I am using a bar chart and even with IsAutoMajor = true the labels are all bunched up together

I have read several threads regarding the Chart IsAutoMajor having issues, do i have to use this feature in confunction with some else to make it work, as it doesn't appear to.

I can change the tick mark spacing and it does space out the labels correctly but i need it to be automatic.

Thanks
Emma

I am using version 10.102.0.44

And this is my chart setup. Sorry code doesn't paste in here very well.

Chart.PrimaryCategoryAxis.Title = XAxisTitle;

Chart.PrimaryCategoryAxis.TextRotationAngle = 45;
Chart.PrimaryCategoryAxis.IsAutoMajor = true
chart.PrimaryValueAxis.Title = YAxisTitle;
Chart.PrimaryValueAxis.TitleArea.TextRotationAngle = 90;

chart.PrimaryCategoryAxis.TitleArea.FontName = FontName;

chart.PrimaryCategoryAxis.TitleArea.Size = 10;
chart.PrimaryCategoryAxis.Font.Size = 8;
chart.PrimaryCategoryAxis.Font.FontName = FontName;
chart.PrimaryCategoryAxis.Border.ColorIndex =

ExcelKnownColors.Grey_25_percent;

chart.PrimaryCategoryAxis.Border.LineWeight =

ExcelChartLineWeight.Narrow;

if (chart.PrimaryCategoryAxis.HasMajorGridLines) {

chart.PrimaryCategoryAxis.MajorGridLines.LineProperties.ColorIndex = ExcelKnownColors.Grey_25_percent;

chart.PrimaryCategoryAxis.MajorGridLines.LineProperties.LineWeight =ExcelChartLineWeight.Narrow;
}
