EVAL under Win'98

Hello! We have a problem with testing our application (built with using EVAL version of ET) under Windows 98. After starting application a dialog about eval period is appear (in this dialog written that we have 2 days). If we press Close same dialog appear and again and again... So we can't test program on all platforms. Is any way to workaround this problem? I hope there isn't this problem in commercial version. Best regards, Ivan

Hi Ivan, Yes, this behavior exists on Win98 and possibly WinME for the evaluation dialog logic only. On NT based systems, only one dialog is displayed even if there are 20 controls instantiated. On Win98, one dialog is popped up for every licensed control instantiated. So if you 15 Essential Tools controls in your form, you will recieve 15 dialogs. This is only a limitation with the Evaluation on Win9x systems. Once all of the controls have been created, you should be able to test normally (you just have to close out all of the dialogs). -Trampas
