GridControl - virtual mode - change cell

In the GridPopulationSample we see the GridControl in virtual mode.

QueryCellInfoHandler called by the grid when it needs the value of a cell.

What is the correct way to update a grid cell? Is there a requery method somewhere that makes the grid reraise the query event?

Or do I directly change the grid? Which seems a bit daft.
