Problem with Silverlight MaskedTextbox

Hi,
I am using a masked textbox for validating and accepting phone numbers. The mask format is as: +00-0000-000000

while binding the data from UI to the underlying model, this works fine but while assigning the phone numbers from model to the UI the result is obtained as : + 0-0000-000000 i.e. 1 blank space is displayed after the plus sign.

I tried removing the plus sign from the mask and the textbox binding seems to work fine.

could anybody please help me on this?
