Research Triangle Park, N.C., September 5, 2019—Syncfusion, Inc., the developer solutions company of choice, is excited to announce the release of Essential UI Kit for Xamarin.Forms, a free collection of more than 35 easily reusable XAML pages for common development scenarios.
“In projects that involve building a UI, there are pages that have to be rebuilt again and again, like login pages, registration pages, ‘about us’ pages,and so on,” said Daniel Jebaraj, vice president of Syncfusion. “With our Xamarin UI kit, we wanted to give the Xamarin community a valuable shortcut to make building these pages a breeze. We see these pages on a daily basis across all apps and devices. They shouldn’t be a time sink when you have the rest of your app to worry about.”
Using the Xamarin templates is streamlined in Visual Studio through a custom-built extension that provides a dialog where developers can choose the screens they want to add to their app. The extension then handles all the resource management involving third-party packages, models, views, view models, behaviors, and converters. It is available for free on the Visual Studio Marketplace.
Essential UI Kit includes screens for scenarios spanning login, e-commerce, chat, feedback, contact, articles, navigation, errors, and many more. Each screen is designed using the MVVM pattern to clearly separate the UI and the app logic, allowing developers to quickly insert the pages into their apps and tweak the views as needed. Each layout is optimized for use on phones, tablets, and desktops, and even supports right-to-left rendering for use in internationalized applications.
