Microsoft Azure Expands

On Wednesday, Microsoft announced the availability of two new services in its Azure family of offerings. The first is Storm for Azure HDInsight, the 100% Apache Hadoop-based cloud service that features language extensions and on-demand scaling. Storm is an open source stream analytics platform that allows for real-time analysis of millions of data points simultaneously, granting unprecedented access to big data sets.

Azure Machine Learning was also released on Wednesday. With it, data scientists of all levels can leverage the power of big data to quickly and easily interact with values. With robust sharing tools and the ability to use the platform in a browser, big data has never been more accessible.

With these new tools, the Azure suite grows larger and the possibilities for combining multiple, powerful tools expand. Many Azure platforms are compatible with each other, allowing developers to easily work on complex projects by shifting the work to the appropriate platform as needed. If you are interested in learning more about the Azure suite, why not start with Syncfusion’s Windows Azure Websites Succinctly? Once you see how easy it is to work with data-driven websites, you’ll find yourself clamoring for more opportunities to process and analyze big data.
